We received an offer for a disability child model shoot from an after-school day service in Chiba Prefecture!

Hello, this is Miki Uchiki from Hana Hiraku.

The momentous third shoot took place on November 3, 2021.

We received a request for a disability child model shoot from “Gen Kids Co., Ltd.,” which operates after-school day services and child development support in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. Five models participated in the shoot!

The models for this day were Sumire-chan, Kou-kun, Takeru-kun, Rikuto-kun, and Shuntaro-kun.

What’s amazing about our models is that they do not shy away from unfamiliar places or crowds.

When they see something fun, their eyes sparkle, and they dive right in.

The sensitivity of these children with disabilities is truly fascinating.

Usually, when kids are chosen as models, they think, “I have to behave” or “I need to look cute,” and parents often encourage that mindset too.

However, these children are different.

They completely ignore the camera and are always honest about their true feelings.

This is how we end up with photos like the one above, which capture moments like, “Where are you reading from?!”

We believe this is the true essence of childhood.

Children are instinctively direct, and from an adult’s perspective, they are full of quirks and surprises.

Watching these kids reminds us of how small our own desires and pretenses are and how much purity we have lost.
